					LOCOMOTIVE STEAM CRANE First crane made by the Henry J. Cole crane company in Derby. A railway truck mounted unit, steam driven with vertical boiler built around 1890. Model size 32"x8"x26" high 1:12 scale Select here or photo for details.
	3 TON MOBILE This is the Coles diesel powered 3 ton mobile unit dating from 1928. One of the few old crane models that we had the original plans for, which accounts for so much detail. Model size 27"x9"x15" high 1:12scale Select here or photo for details.
					EMA UTILITY CRANE A crane made in 1938 for the RAF during the war . This unit known as the E.M.A. (Electric Mobile Aerodrome) it was a 2-6 ton lift semi mobile petrol electric crane with a fixed length jib which could slew round on the base unit. 	TILLING STEVENS This was the first of the vintage models I was ask to make. It was a strange machine built for the Karatchi Port Trist in India in 1920. Tilling Stevens 6 ton lift. Model 19"x7"x18" high 1/12scale. Select here or the photo for more details.

					HIDRA 300T The main purpose of the model shop was to make models of the current range of cranes for the sales teams around the world. Hidra 30 ton lift. Model 39"x9"x13" high 1/12 scale Select here or the photo for more details.
	While I was working at the Sunderland factory there were a number ideas floating around from the design department in answer to new models being brought out by our competitors. These are three prototypes that we were ask to build models for.
	COLOUSSUS 6000 This is very much a pleasant surprise when it landed in my in box, a model of the Colossus 600 made in the workshop where I worked in Sunderland. Model size high. 1:12scale Select here or photo for details.
					HUSKY 13/17 Road traveling Husky utility crane. This was the be the first of the AT (All Terrain) range. Model size 18"x8"x13" high. 1:12 scale Select here or the photo for details.
	YARD CRANE The second proposal was for a very light yard handling crane which was simply a fishing rod on wheels. This was never to be build in this form Model size 16"x8"x8" high. 1:12scale Select here or photo for details.
					LT 400 TOWER CRANE The third proposal was for a self propelled tower crane. Mobile Tower cranes were being produced but this unit was designed to carry the whole tower on the main truck unit.Intended to be put on the existing LT 4000 base unit, it was to prove a step too far. 	HYDRAULIC BOOMS The model shop was ask to make a series of demonstration models of hydraulic jibs. Model size 35"x6"x11" high 1:5 scale Select here or photo for details.
					EXCAVATORS Coles took over the Prestman excavator company and so the design department was ask to update the design of a range of excavators. Model size 25"x10"x20" high 1:12 scale Select here or the photo for details.
