City

In the city busses rumble
 Trundle,bumble everywhere,
People waiting, walking running,
 City wakeing, slowing dawning,
People shouting, morning calling,
 Start again a busy day,

In the station speakers calling
 Porters shouting, doors slamming,
Engines moving, signals changing,
 People rushing, tickets passing,
Crowds pushing,early morning,
 Swallowed up by city streets,

Round and round the multi car park,
 Swarming round like little bees,
Parking boxes, busy workers,
 Rushing, walking, wakeing yawning,
Winding up, slowly moving,
 City starts another day.
