Hayman Chow
Hayman Chow
Bought a crooked cow,
Hugged it kissed it
Took it to his farm,
There his wife
Baked it a pudding cake,
Then said well now
What you going to do,
The cow said O dear
With a tear in her ear,
You're too good
For a cow like me,
No one loves a bent cow
No one ever has,
Thank you for the pudding cake
But I'll go now,
O no bent cow
Said the farmers wife,
You stay here dear
Come nearer to the fire,
They gave her a bell
And a hat for her head, red,
Told her a story
Then tucked her up in bed,
There in the darkness
A twinkle in her eye,
Pore old bent cow
Gave a sigh,
No one,
She sobbed out softly,
Has ever loved
A crooked cow,
It was very nice pudding cake,
Then she went to sleep.
