ISSUE TWO - February 2010

Well Coles News 2 now hits the news stands
Only two main bits of news, first about an interesting find of an old crane and second about a new section about tower cranes. Anyone wishing to have an e-mail sent to the them when ever a new issue of this pages is posted on the site, again let me have your e-mail address and I will put you on the mailing list. The e-mail will contain a link to this new Cole News page.

GREAT FIND
Another unexpected find.
This one goes back to the earilest version of the speedcrane. Having only ever seen old photographs I thought all examples of this machine had long since been asigned to the scrapyards of history. This one terns up for sail In Itily. Obvously been referbished so it must be still working. Thay don't make them like that any more.

NEW SECTION
I have now added a new section of tower cranes. Coles never made what we now call tower cranes or fixed base cranes. What they did produce were mobile high reach semi tower luffing and container handling cranes. These were available in two different types; self propelled mobile cranes; and truck mounted mobiles cranes.

Still trying to find more on the history of Neals of Grantham. Still looking for photos of old Neals units or any Neal machinery still about. I also want stories about the factory and closure.
