| This is now the section update time line charting when parts of the site were added, mainly for historic reference. News or anything interesting that crops up will now be placed in the "Cole News" page. There will be a notice on the homepage saying "New News" when anything significant is added to the site. DATE - 20/05/2010 Added new section of oddities, first item the thames barrier. Updated the Suinderland section. Updated the Toys section. New "Coles News IV DATE - 17/03/2010 New database section on Neals cranes pluss catalogue section for Neals. Altered database master index to reference the new sections. New "Coles News III" DATE - 08/02/2010 Added Tower crane section to database. New "Coles News II" DATE - 25/10/2009 Hydra Husky range updated and time line type database index inserted. History of Hydraulics transion updated and extended, DATE - 18/10/2009 New Neals crane the HyMax added as single file yet to be added to data base. DATE - 18/06/2009 Update on speedcrane database, made into seperate file new units added. DATE - 18/05/2009 Updated Database for Strut Jib Trucks and Mobile Units, added more and updated files of these units and made layout on date order. New works model added. DATE - 1/4/2009 Updated Database for hydraulic units and added more of these units and made layout on date order. DATE - 2/01/2008 Added details of new model of Taylors Jumbo Speedcrane. DATE - 25/7/2008 The type list has bee expaned to a historical catalogue section and now includes lists and details of cranes from various back catalogues. Port Cranes from 1956, General catalogues from 1970 and 1975. New units from these catalogues will be added to the database as time permits DATE - 25/7/2008 New spotlight section has been added with greater details of particular cranes. DATE - 7/6/2008 New images of the Sunderland Crown Workd added. Sipe Map updated. DATE - 7/6/2008 A list of the cranes Coles produced and been sent to me and now this list has now been added to the site. It can be accesses from the main page or the database index page. Please let me know of any cranes omitted. Also a section describing crane types has been added in the technical section. DATE - 19/4/2008 At long last pages have been added to the technical section. These deal with Jibs, naming of crane parts and the description and history of the slew rings. DATE - 05/4/2008 Two new sections added to database of cranes: These are :- Rail Mounted Cranes, Database and History. Military Cranes from the early ema units to the latest hysraulic cranes. DATE - 18/1/2008 Text History updated wit a section that takes the story form where the 100 years book leaves off to the final decline and closure of Coles in 1984. DATE - 27/12/2007 A complete update of the site has seen more history information added and a complete overhaul of the crane database. Hopefully it will be better to navigate. Hydraulic Truck cranes have been added to he database.  |
