Mandarin Duck
The Mandarin Duck
Was rather in luck,
The wind it was blowing
The way he was going,
To Scotland
To have a short break,
He had taken his hat
A mack and a sponge,
He had been there before
In what they call summer,
The Mandarin Duck
Had been in the Zoo,
Being looked at
For most of the summer,
It is very hard work
Being watched every day,
The keeper of ducks
Detected the strain,
Said take a week off
Go find some rain,
It is so much more fun
When he rain has begun,
If you are in luck
And a Mandarin Duck.
Tony
