The Land Where The Doobries Sing

Without any warning Terry landed quite softly on the ground, a ground covered as far as you could see in magnolia blossom.

"I wonder where I am." said Terry to himself.

Terry had got to talk to himself because there was no one else about.

Terry looked around, every thing was magnolia coloured, magnolia ground, magnolia sky, magnolia trees, round fluffy pink bird!.

Round fluffy pink bird, that was not there a minute ago thought Terry. The bird started to walk toward Terry. The bird got closer. The bird who had been looking at the ground all the time looked up and saw Terry.

"Ooooooooooo" said the bird. "Who are you."

" I'm Terry." said Terry.

"Oooooooo." said the bird. " What's a Terry."

" Where are we." asked Terry.

"Oooooooo." said the bird and walked round Terry eyeing him up and down.

"Ooooooo." said the bird. "You are a strange thing."

This was good coming from a round pink bird with a trumpet for a beak, long legs and the silliest stubby wings you could imagine.

"Where are we" ask Terry again.

"Oooooooo you are a silly thing." said the bird. "We are here of coarse."

The bird bent down with his long beak and nibbled at one of the magnolia leaves. It then looked up again rather surprised.

"Ooooooo you still here. Can't stop here talking to you all day." said the bird. "I have got go." with that the bird started to walk off.

"Wait." shouted Terry getting up and chasing after the bird. "Where are you going where are we."

The bird stopped and turned around to look at Terry.

"Ooooooo." said he bird. "You do ask allot of questions. Well I'm going to sing at the place all Doobries sing, the singing place. As to your other question that is far too difficult for me, you'll have to ask the Wise Old Doobrie."

"Where do I find him." ask Terry.

"Ooooooo he'll be singing of course, we will all be singing." said the Doobrie. " Just follow me."

The Doobrie bird turned and started to wander off again. Terry just followed, followed to where ever the bird was going. There was no path or any signs, no indication they were going anywhere special, just wandering through the magnolia blossom.
After quite a bit of wondering this way and that, suddenly there was another Doobrie bird. This one was yellow. When the two bird saw each other the each gave a long "Oooooooo".

Then out of no where Doobrie birds were appearing all over the place and all greeting each other with a long "Oooooooo". It was beginning to get quite deafening. Now there were Doobrie birds as far as the eye could see, all different shades of pink, purple, orange and yellow.

Slowly the "Oooos" began to die down as the birds began to shuffle around to face the same direction. They were all facing a large wooden platform built in one of the magnolia trees. It all went very quiet as if the birds were waiting for someone to appear.
