Its 1975 and Coles have been taken over by the Acrow Group for three years now. Coles were in need of investment and the production costs reducing. The lines have been slimed down, some plants have been sold off. The text shown below is on the first page of this leaflet and outlines the cranes now being made. |

THE COLES RANGE
Self propelled mobiles With capacities from five to 70 tons these highly efficient machines are working in factories, yards, poets and terminals throughout the world. Husky rough terrain cranes Specially designed for working on unmade ground, Hydra Husky cranes are mounted on four wheel drive, four wheel steer chassis offering the best in strength and manoeuvrability. Hydra Speed cranes These medium capacity general purpose cranes have excellent low-headroom characteristics and provide good outreach on the telescopic boom, plus excellent manoeuvrability through the front wheel steer, rear wheel drive chassis configuration. Diesel electric truck / truck tower cranes These machines which can work as conventional strut jib cranes or in tower configurations, are ideal for heavy duty lifting. They combine exceptional height of lift capability with a facility for fast inter site travel. Hydra truck cranes These telescopic boom cranes are capable of fast road travel, complying with the most stringent highway regulations, and they have excellent on site performance. They range in maximum lifting capacities from 10 to 100 tons. |
