GROUP 5 Murtle Rabbits Mr Morrison Dan Mrs Thurgaty Bill Guarding Gin Where a Cat Atoz |
|
Where a cat.
I saw this cat
A fleeting glance,
Clouds they parted
A moon beam shone,
The cat stood still
Shadow cast,
A moment lost
A sudden chill,
The cat he turned
To walk away,
One brief glance
He looked my way,
Eyes that burned
Narrow green,
Quiet night
A sight unseen,
Shadows drew
Behind the cat,
No sound was heard
To break the spell,
An Emptiness
A cold night breeze,
And a place,
Where a cat
Had been,
As moonlight shines
The distant place,
I wonder where
A shadow moves,
The feline shape
Beneath the stars,
With soundless ease
And eyes so green,
Look through the night
To steal a look,
Some lonely place
Beneath the trees,
Where other eyes
Have never scene,
Then as the night
Folds softly in,
The shadow turns
To slip away,
Will he remember
Long ago,
I was there
To see him go,
From a place
Where a cat,
Had been,
Tony
