For anyone who can remember steam trains then these little tractor units will be a fixture in the childhood memory trundling up and down railway platforms pulling several trolleys with mailbags, cases or boxes of pigeons. They were the workhorse of the railways, warehouses, docks and quays all over the world.

Although not a Coles unit they were in fact the product of Steel and Co. who took over Coles in 1939. After this time they were badged under the Coles logo.

Battery driven with a small turning circle and solid wheels.

Performance - Normal tractive effort 400 lb. (1814.4 kg) Maximum tractive effort 1200 lb. (544 kg.). Speed on level road 4-5 m.p.h. (6.437-8.047 km.p.h.) loaded, 5-6 m.p.h (8.047-9.65 km.p.h.) unloaded.
