S P E C I F I C A T I O N
Chassis Frame - Electrically welded fabrication. Main members pressed section channel, substantial front bumper plate and heavy gauge protection plates round sides and back of frame. Built-in flush type towing bracket at front and rear of frame.

Driving Axle -Single reduction overhead worm with sturdy two pinion bevel type differential. All gearing mounted on taper roller and parallel roller bearings and totally enclosed and splash lubricated. Wheel hubs mounted on taper roller bearings and suspension by two semi-elliptic leaf springs.

Steering Axle - Fabricated steel axle beam and radius arm. Case hardened steel king pins with phosphor bronze bushes and roller thrust bearings. Reversed Elliot type stub axles with wheel hubs mounted on taper roller bearings. Suspension by single transverse leaf spring.

Steering - By cam and lever automotive type steering box, three turns of wheel from lock to lock. All track rods and drag links fitted with self-adjust;ng ball joints and steering linkage designed to give smallest possible turning circle.

Brakes - Two separate braking systems. Foot lever operates internal expanding brakes on driving axle road wheels, hand lever operates external contracting brake on motor shaft drum. Hand brake fully interlocked with travel controller.

Controller - Cam and contactor type with over-centre 'snap action' type contactors. 3 speeds forward and reverse, operated by ratchet action foot pedal. 1st stroke gives 1st speed, 2nd stroke 2nd speed and 3rd stroke top speed. Pedal is spring loaded to 'off' position. Forward or reverse travel direction selected by lever on dash panel.

Motor - 4 pole series wound, heavy duty, traction type. One hour rating, 3 h.p. 900 r,p.m., 40 volt.

Battery - Standard battery, lead acid type, 20 cells, 196 amp. hour capacity. Battery housed in steel compartment with hinged lid, Oversize batteries available up to 300 amp. hour capacity and also Nickel iron types available.

Wheels and Tyres - Standard equipment 6.00 x 9 (152.4 x 228.6 mm.) pneumatic tyres on de-mountable steel wheels.

Equipment - Supplied complete with electric horn tool kit and grease gun, charging plug and socket.
