This section shows some of the rail cranes developed over the years by Coles.

Coles cranes developed steadily throughout the years, up to the mid 1950s the railways were the major transportation for heavy goods and almost every crane Coles produced were made in a rail version. These are a few of the none steam cranes made.

1897
A very unusual rail mounted water hydraulic crane, possibly for use on coal docks where the open fire of a steam boiler is dangerous.
1913
Early example of direct drive petrol driven rail crane, probably under powered.

1928
A rail version of the direct drive diesel mobile crane. The direct drive moved not only the slew deck but also powered the rail carriage.
