Notes - Smaller lighter diesel and petrol engines made the compact mobile crane possible. This crane shows where Coles was going with design and configuration. Taking the simplicity of the diesel/petrol electric configuration we see the design becoming compact and flexible. Notice also the cantilever jib carrying on from the 1929 model the high level jib meant the crane could get closer to the working area and the driver sould see directly his work load position.
