Notes - Between 1959 and 1962, Coles design team took over the basic Taylors jumbo crane unit. They solved some of the problems with the Mark 1 variation but quickly adapted the unit further to refine it into this unit to be sold under the Coles name. |

Pushing the cab forward had given more leg room in front of the drive shaft so the cab could be reduced in height and depth, there was also more room for the gear box behind the cab. This allowed the slew support tower to be lowered and brought forward, bring down the centre of gravity and placing it closer to the double wheeled axle at the front. The benefit of this lowering in height meant that the overall height was now to 2330 ( 7'-8") below the critical 8'-0" standard warehouse door opening size. The open mudguards were covered in and the deck covered over.
