S P E C I F I C A T I O N
Controls - Wheel type steering, foot operated controller with hand operated reverser. Foot operated travel brakes with hand operated parking brakes

Frame - Electrically welded steel fabrication, built from pressed steel sections and rolled steel plate. Built-in towing hooks provided front and back for toiler operation. Reinforced steel bumper plates fitted at front and rear ends Or frame. Steel faced timber buffers, for use with railway wagons, optional extra equipment.

Driving Axle - Full floating type axle with cot steel one piece axle housing. Double reduction gearing by spur and worm. 4 pin bevel type differential, carried on taper roller bearings. Hub bearings taper roller. Axle bolted direct to chassis.

Steering Axle - Steel beam welded fabrication. Reversed Elliot heat treated stub axles. Alloy steel king pins with renewable phosphor bronze bushes. Roller thrust bearing. Axle connected to chassis by two semi-elliptic leaf springs

Steering - Two wheel steering on non-driving axle. Operated from cam type steering box Geometry on fell Ackerman principle!. Drive links and track rods fitted with self- adjusting ball joints. Steering arranged , with full castor action. Full I lock turning radius 174" (14420 mm.) overall when I fitted with buffers, 130"'(3180 mm.) without buffers.

Brakes - Pedal operated Girling internal expanding brakes, fitted on rear wheels. Parking brake hand operated by external contracting shoes on motor shaft drum.

Controller - Special design direct acting contactor type. Cam operated with over-centre snap action connectors 4 speeds forward and reverse by ratchet action foot pedal. Hand lever for direction control.

Motor - Traction type, special 4 pole design, high efficiency series wound. Operates on 80 volt circuit

Battery - Standard type lead acid 40 cells, 196 amp. hour Oversizes and Nickel Cadmium type can be accommodated.

Wheels and Tyres - Standard equipment 8.25 x 10 (209.5 x 254 mm) pneumatic tyres. Front wheels pressed steel divided type, 6 stud fixing. Rear wheels integral casting with hub and brake drum. Detachable rim provided.

Equipment - Electric horn high frequency type fitted as standard warning device. Operating button mounted on steering column. Charging plug provided. Lighting equipment fitted as optional extra

Performance - Maximum tractive effort 4000 lb. (1814 kg.). Normal tractive effort 1200 lb. (544 kg.). Will haul 6 ton (6100 kg) trailer up 1 in 6 gradient. Speed on level 5-6 m.p.h. (8.047-9.65 km.p.h,) light, 4-5 m.p.h. (6.437-8.047 km.p.h.) loaded.
