Notes - The 1000 series were truck mounted mobiles, designed to travel at fast at highway speeds when required. These units were available in four models, capable of discharging loaded containers from vessels of over 30m (98ft) beam, depending on model. In addition, they could handle heavy cargo unit loads of up to 100 tonnes. These cranes could be configered as high lift luffing towers or port cranes. General cargo could be also discharged at up to 50m (165ft) radius. This series included : Coles Colossus 2000 HLT : 100 tonnes Coles Colossus 4000 HLT : 150 tonnes Coles Colossus 5000 HLT : 240 tonnes Coles Colossus 6000 HLT : 260 tonnes (see Colossus 6000) Images 1.3.4.5 configered as port tower container crane.
