Colossus L6000
The Colossus L6000 was the largest mobile crane Coles developed. Brought out in 1971 it could lift 250 tons and could be configured as a tower crane. It was built at the Darlington works in England, where as its predecessor the L5000 was built in the German factory.
The machine closed down for road travel is 22m long 3.6m wide and 4 m high.

The following pictures are of a Colossus 6000 first delivered to Australia in 1975 and is still working for a crane hire company Boom Logistics in Melbourne. My thanks to Brent Stacey, who works with the machine, for the images.
