Bodget and Mr Holdon went into a huddle near the lorry, pieces of paper were exchanged and hands shaken, it was agreed. Bodget and Brown got busy as everyone else went away. They erected scaffolding up and around the chimney and started work. They put four long steel rods into the chimney reaching from top of the chimney pot to bottom where he fireplace had been. They then mixed up a lot of concrete and bucket by bucket filled the whole chimney up with concrete all poured in from the top. |
